Hi guys, just thought we'd chime in as there's clearly some feelings (and some community love!) around this topic. From our point of view it is always going to be frustrating to see a mixed review. We can only do so much and producing content such as profiles is a very time consuming process and also costly as we work with specialist third parties, ie. qualified Ichthyologists and have various licences, backend services and development costs that need paying for. This isn't a wage earning project and so any profit earned goes straight back in to the app's continued development, so as @LeonorAlves mentions, a loss of revenue resulting from those kind of reviews will unfortunately end up affecting everyone.
I'm not currently aware of any app that covers every potential species (there are literally tens of thousands!), in a meaningful bespoke format, so really it should be a given that we don't cover everything. Really the point is to cover the most commonly found species in the trade, as these are the ones that 95% of keepers are going to be obtaining. For everything else we have an integrated requests system in place so that we can ensure we can get you what you need if it's not in the database.
To those that have taken the time to leave us nice reviews on the store - we greatly appreciate the love and support that is being shown for us and it's the reason that we continue working on the app. Thanks.
