App Updates

We've just pushed an update that rolls out the first stage of our planned improvements, so I've put the details in to a thread here.

Added new profiles.
Added a discussion (icon) link to the forum on the profile bar.
Added a quick info bar below profile images to speed up checking some key bits of data.
Tweaked the UI with new header bars and some changes to reduce brightness on the dark theme.
Expanded some data descriptors on the profiles.
Added PPM values to water hardness recommendations.
Bio load data is now located under the tank requirements heading.
Loads of misc. db data improvements.
Improvements to backup and request services.

Hope you enjoy the hard work that's gone in to this... we have further improvements coming in our second stage of planned updates. More info will come later.

Our next update will be a major synonyms update. This will include around 1000 additional names to make locating the correct profiles easier.

Ruxpin You're welcome! The synonyms update has just gone off to the Play Store for review and so should start rolling out to users over the next 24hrs

Our next update (v3.10) is hitting the store later today, this will include a roundup of user requested fish & plant profiles, further synonyms and misc. tweaks.

We have just pushed v3.13 to the store which includes roundups for a large number of requests. More are being processed and will be added shortly.

I hope I put this post in the right section. I have the app (3.36) on my Nokia smartphone (Android 10) for a few days now.
Nice and useful app, but unfortunately the app crashes or stops as soon as I want to add a personal note to one of the plants (complete list) or in the My favourites section. Sometimes the app returns to the overview, but often the app crashes.
The special and remarkable thing is that this does not happen in the Fish section.
There, adding a personal note anywhere works without any problems ...
More people with this problem? I'm just assuming it's a bug!?

Hi @Ries, thanks for reporting this. I've had a quick look and it seems to be a bug related to our custom colour themes. As a temporary fix, it should work if you set your theme back to "Default (modern)"? I will get a patch rolled out asap to fix the issue so that it's working with all colour themes (it'll go out this afternoon, but occasionally takes a day or so for Google to approve it on the store).

Ah ha, that likely explains why i'm not seeing it as i'm currently on the default theme. Also, that was pretty quick work Support

Just as a heads up, we have more colour themes inbound. They'll be released in Crystal Guide first and then rolled out to our other Pocket Edition series apps.
